YWCA Halifax and its Trafficking & Exploitation Services System (TESS) to Host Inter-Agency Workshop.

YWCA Canada in partnership with YWCA Halifax is launching a National Emergency Survivor Support Fund (NESS).

The following is a summary of what survivors view as gaps in the system, their service and support needs, and what they recommend services and systems should be doing to address these gaps and needs.

In the age of sexting where new acronyms are popping up daily, and emojis are meant to symbolize specific things related to sex and “hooking up”, it can be a full-time job just keeping on top of everything!

Whatever comes to you in life, whatever gifts you receive, its important to spread them around. What’s it called? Paying it forward. So that’s what I’m doing.

The Gate phone line is intended for individuals who are at risk of, are currently, or are survivors of commercial sexual exploitation to find help, navigate supports and services, or just to talk.
