THANK YOU FOR SHARING!

We would like to take this space to thank everyone who participated in our 2021 Hearing Them Consultation! We heard from over 120 victims, survivors, victors and thrivers across Nova Scotia, who are either currently or formerly involved in the sex trade.

This year you helped us at all levels along the way! You contributed to the interview guide and told us what questions we should ask. You told us about ways to make you feel safe and supported while you were interviewed. And you helped us reach more participants than last year through spreading the word with folks who were not connected to services!

With your brave sharing of lived experience stories, you have directly contributed to future policy and programming to help keep people safe from violence and exploitation. It is our pledge to you to have your voices heard and make your experiences count in how we move forward as a province to address Commercial Sexual Exploitation in our communities.

We will be spending the next few months putting the results together, and we look forward to sharing them with you directly via our ASPEN groups in March. Where we will get your thoughts and feedback on the findings, which will be incorporated into the final report, targeted for release in the Spring of 2022.

So a great big THANK YOU! To everyone who participated! We look forward to working with you to move the needle on CSEC!
