PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: CaperBase @Access 808 is a one-stop shop Resource Centre for youth ages 16 to 24. We work with youth, families, schools, and community organizations to provide a safe, youth friendly space that is confidential and non-judgemental.

PROGRAM SUPPORTS: Individual counselling sessions; Group programming; Life skills development; Workshops & information sessions; Laundry facilities; Speaker sessions; Computer access; Emergency clothes/food; Shower facilities; Referrals to community resources & supports.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: An eight week program for youth that focuses on promoting healthy living and allows participants to explore, develop, and discover their strengths. Free2BU encourages participants to celebrate their differences and to connect with their commonalities. This program includes activities that are experiential, fun, and interactive. A discussion component is included to give participants an opportunity to connect on a personal level and to discuss issues that are important to them. Participants will explore and discuss specific topics in a safe, confidential, and encouraging environment.

FINDING BALANCE

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: An 8 week interactive program for youth that focuses on promoting a healthy lifestyle. This program allows participants to develop and discover their strengths and overcome barriers. Participants will have an opportunity to experience and practice specific coping strategies/skills including: time management, inter-personal communication, empathy, etc. Finding Balance will explore and discuss specific topics in a safe, confidential, and encouraging environment.

GETUP! PROGRAM

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: A six to eight week recreation program that focuses on increasing awareness of healthy recreation opportunities in the community and building skills to succeed in these activities. The GetUp! Program focuses on the youths’ strengths to help build a positive self-identity through healthy leisure and recreation. This program also allows time for the youth to talk about things that are important and affect the lives of youth in a natural and informal way.
