Big Brothers Big Sisters believes that every child that needs a Mentor, has a Mentor. We provide professionally developed mentoring programs to children and youth at risk between the ages of 6-18 through trained Volunteers in a safe environment.

ONE TO ONE MENTORING

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Mentoring programs provide children and youth with a role model to talk to and share the experiences of growing up with. A relationship is developed between the mentor and the mentee, which is built on trust and common interests, and is supported by our experienced case-workers. Programs include Big Brothers, Big Sisters, and In-School mentoring.

GROUP MENTORING

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Structured group mentoring programs geared to meet the needs of children and youth, including building a positive self-image, making informed choices about a range of healthy lifestyle practices, and connecting with peer mentors in school.

YOUTH OUTREACH PROGRAM

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Youth Outreach services for youth including crisis management, family work support, mentoring, advocating, counselling, ability for drop in location, facilitating programs and workshops, and assistance accessing supports and services.
